IMPORTANT — reference for future negotiations.
TLC's Global CTO (David Burns) mandated that all systems built for TLC must be hosted in their Azure environment, with all IP retained by TLC. This was communicated 8 Oct 2025.
David Burns requested:
Francois rejected: "That is not going to happen. Professional indemnity is more than the projects are worth. They are not paying us to hand over all our code for what 15K!"
"The Azure App platform imposes significant constraints on our ability to integrate with secure services, and the cost of porting our solution far outweighs the value we have derived from our engagement with TLC — especially considering TLC's stated intention to sunset our service."
