ObjTextFixmobileA text-factory command for the Intelect package. Renders a UK
mobile number in E.164 form.
{fixmobile:07700900123} -> +447700900123
{fixmobile:447700900123} -> +447700900123
{fixmobile:+447700900123} -> +447700900123 (unchanged)
{fixmobile:07700 900123} -> +447700 900123 (inner space survives)
{fixmobile:} -> (empty)
Reached through the ordinary {xxx: dispatch in
factory.core/ObjProcessText.process_text, which instantiates the
module's ObjProcessText class and calls Process().
Numbers reach the platform two ways — national, as typed off a
handset (07700 900123), and international with the + lost
somewhere in a CSV or a form post (447700900123). Both mean the
same subscriber, and neither is dialable as written. This normalises
them:
| Input starts with | Result |
|---|---|
0 |
+44 + the remainder (national trunk prefix dropped) |
44 |
+44 + the remainder (the missing + restored) |
| anything else | returned unchanged |
The third row is what makes the command safe to apply twice: a number
already carrying its + starts with +, matches neither rule, and
passes straight through.
UK_COUNTRY_CODE is a module constant rather than configuration.
Making the prefix configurable would look like multi-country support
while giving none: the 0 rule above is the UK national trunk
prefix, and dropping it is not correct for countries that keep a
leading zero in the international form, or that use a different trunk
digit. A second country needs dialling rules, not a different string.
[0] on theIndexError outServer, no output. Like the other Intelect text modules"" when it was constructed without a page/server07700 900123) survive into the result. That
